Dawn Quaid-i-Azam Trophy: Mujahid hits century in drawn game
1 December 1999

Islamabad, Nov 30: Opener Mujahid Jamshed hammered a quickfire century as Habib Bank's Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match against Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) Blues ended in a draw at the KRL ground on Tuesday.

Mujahid scored an attractive 104 off 128 balls. His innings was punctuated with nine fours and two sixes.

His rapid innings steered the bankers to 205 for four when the play was called off. Pool-B leaders HBL picked up three points by virtue of a 74-run first innings lead which he secured by dismissing Karachi for 375 shortly after lunch on the final day.

Karachi Blues had resumed this morning at 315 for seven in reply to Habib Bank's 449. Overnight batsman Wasim Naim's patient knock of 76 (222 balls) came to a close when Akram Raza had him caught by Shaukat Mirza. Akram finished with 6 for 96.
