Dawn PCB sacks officials from its secretariat

Karachi, Dec 2: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ad hoc committee on Wednesday sacked five key officials from its Lahore secretariat.

The sacking came four days after the new cricket management terminated the contract of its legal advisor Ali Sibtain Fazli.

Those who were shown the door include manager finance Zaheer Ahmad, assistant manager administration Saifur Rahman, manager real estate Col (retd) Farooq Tahir, secretary to chairman Ikram Gillani and media manager Zulqarnain Jameel.

Director marketing Shahid Nazeer was forced to resign on Wednesday while Shahabzada A.Khan was asked to return to his parent organization. Shahabzada was the personal staff officer and chairman administration National Stadium.

The seven officials were appointed on Sept 1 by Mujeeb-ur-Rehman who was replaced as ad hoc committee chief last month
