Assam Successfully defend modest total 24 December 1999
In a low scoring East Zone Ranji Trophy league one day match at the DSA stadium in Mangoldoi on Friday, Assam successfully defended a modest total of 141 in 42.3 overs by defeating Tripura by 45 runs. Opener Subhrajit Saikia (30) top scored but most of the other batsmen came to grief against Aditya Shukla (5 for 34). The Tripura wickets fell in a heap and they were shot out for 96 runs in 38.3 overs with Sukhbinder Singh (3 for 26) being the most successful bowler. © CricInfo
