Poidevin-Gray Round 1

Fairfield Liverpool v Sydney Uni

Fairfield Liverpool under 21 Poidevin-Gray side got off to an excellent start to their season with a resounding win over Sydney University. Fairfield Liverpool batted first and were all out for 247. Shamus Coe 68, Ben Mcluer 56 and Ryan Snape 56 all batted well. Sydney University were all out for 36 with sundries the top score 12. The best of the bowlers was Pat Richards who took 5 for 9 off 6 overs with Gerard Johnson 2 for 10 and Captain Ben Sawyer 2 for 14 off 8 also bowled well.

Poidevin-Gray Round 2

Fairfield Liverpool v Sutherland

The Poidevin-Gray side were beaten by the better side Sutherland on Sunday at Rosedale. Sutherland batted first and were 6 for 238 off there 50 overs. Fairfield Liverpool were all out for 157 in the 51st over. The bowling honours went to Captain Ben Sawyer 2 for 50 and Shaun Perris 2 for 52. Russell Wilcoxon 57 and Jason Krejza 26 were the best of the batsmen.

Poidevin-Gray Round 3

Fairfield Liverpool v Gordon

The Poidevin-Gray side were beaten by Gordon on the last ball of the day at Rosedale on Sunday. Fairfield Liverpool batted first and were all out for 157 off their 60 overs. Gordon were 7 for 158 hitting a four on the last ball to win. The bowling honours went to Shaun Perris 3 for 5 and Ben Rohrer 2 for 16. Ben Rohrer 26 and Shamus Coe 23 were the best of the batsmen.
