Bangladesh: Camp starts on wrong foot Our Sports Reporter - 3 February 1999 Seven report in BKSP The thirty cricketers, called for the residential camp as part of Bangladesh's preparation for the forth-coming World Cup, have reported at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) office yesterday. But out of the primarily selected 30, only seven have travelled to join the camp at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) in Savar yesterday. It was learnt that most of the players stayed back to comply with their club commitments. Gordon Greenidge, the West Indian coach of the national team, now has former captain Akram Khan, Mehrab Hossain, Naimur Rahman, Neeyamur Rashid, Hasibul Hossain, Enamul Haque and wicketkeeper Khaled Mashud to start the month-long training. Although Gordon wanted the whole team together for an uninterrupted training session from February 1 to prepare the final squad, his desire was not fulfilled for the cricketers involvement in the on-going Premier League.
