Stephen Fleming's return delayedThe Christchurch Press - 16 February 1999
Hopes that New Zealand cricket captain Stephen Fleming would appear for Canterbury in its next Shell Trophy match against Wellington starting Thursday have been dashed.
Fleming was targeting the match as a comeback game after surgery to his adductor tendon last month.
Canterbury: Craig Cumming, Brad Doody, Llorne Howell, Gary Stead (captain), Scott Pawson, Gareth Hopkins, Mark Priest, Warren Wisneski, Stephen Cunis, Shane Bond, Chris Martin, Hamish Barton.
