The forthcoming three-nation one-day tournament involving Zimbabwe, Kenya and hosts Bangladesh, will be sponsored by Meril, a brand name of Square Toiletries Limited.

This was revealed by Bangladesh Cricket Board president Saber Hossain Chowdhury at a press conference at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.

Anjan Chowdhury Pintoo, managing director of Square Toiletries, and BCB general secretary Syed Ashraful Huq were also present on the occasion.

According to Saber, the title of the tournament, billed for a March 19 start, will be ``Meril International cricket tournament 1999''. Saber also disclosed that the board was going to receive Taka 15 lakh for the title sponsorship.
