Kandy's Battle of the Blues

St. Anthony's College, Katugastota, should have a slight edge over Trinity College when they clash in their 83rd 'Battle of the Blues' which will be played at the Asgiriya Stadium this Friday and Saturday.

The Trinitians are still ahead of the 82 battles by securing 22 wins against 11 by the Antonians who made their mark in the school cricket arena much later.

The Antonians though fielding a young side with most of the players being blooded from the junior team are led by all-rounder Amila Suranga Pinnaduwa.

The Trinitians led by third year player Kaushalya Weeraratne are fielding an experienced side this season.

The Trinitians have played 10 matches, won one and lost one and drawn the rest.
