Saeed Anwar completes 6000 LOI runs
Atul Kahate - 24 March 1999

Saeed Anwar has become the third Pakistani player and the 13th overall to score 6,000 runs in Limited Overs International (LOI) cricket. He achieved this landmark against India in the third match of the Pepsi Cup being played in India.

Anwar is the third in terms of reaching the milestone in the least number of innings, and has easily beat the previous national record held by his present team coach Javed Miandad (175 innings). Anwar is the second youngest after Sachin Tendulkar to complete 6000 runs.

The following tables list Anwar's performances. All tables are updated to the end of the India-Pakistan Jaipur match, excepting Azharuddin's batting record, which is updated to the end of Ind-SL match and does not include the Pakistan match.
