PCB name 16 probables for U-19 team By Our Sports Correspondent - 9 February 1999 LAHORE, Feb 8: The names of sixteen probables have been announced on Monday from which Pakistan Under-19 team will be selected for the second ``Test'' against South Africa Under-19 team to be held at Sialkot from Feb 11 to 14. Except two pacemen Wasif Ali of Lahore and Saqib Younis of Hyderabad the remaining 14 players are same who were announced for the first Test at Karachi which Pakistan had won by nine wickets. However, the junior selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board did not consider the name of promising batsman Kamran Ali of Multan Division. Kamran Ali in the current national junior Grade-I season had played brilliantly, scoring 544 runs in four matches. His average is 90.66. He slammed three centuries and two 50s. His high score was 148 against Bahawalpur at Sahiwal. His remaining two centuries were against Mirpur Khas (109) at Sahiwal and against Karachi (109) at Karachi. Hasan Raza who hit marvellous unbeaten 188 in the first Test will lead the team. Both the teams will reach Sialkot on Tuesday, where according to a report the city received a heavy rain on Monday. Following are the names of the 16 probables announced for the second Test: Imran Nazir, Taufeeq Omar, Imran Farhat, Hasan Raza, Faisal Iqbal, Shoaib Malik, Yasir Arafat, Humayun Farhat, Kashif Raza, Zahid Saeed, Danish Kenariya, Abdur Rahman, Irfan Fazil, Saad Omar, Wasif Ali, Saqib Younis.
