Charith to play against MCC

Former CCC and Sri Lanka Test opener Charith Senanayake is due to represent a Coast Combined (CCA) XI in their one-day match against the touring MCC team at Coast Gymkhana on March 6.

The CCA squad which is currently in training is coached by Senanayake who represents Mombasa SC in the local tournament in Kenya.

The MCC led by Glamorgan opening batsman and former England Test player Matthew Maynard comprises several other high quality players who have represented England internationally. They are due to arrive in Mombasa in the first week of March and open the tour with the match against CCA XI.
