Deadly bowling by left-arm spinner Sarath Ranaweera who had a match -bag of 11 for 107 (8 for 45 and 3 for 62 was the highlight of the Elephant Lemanade Cup inter-school cricket match against Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa which ended in a draw at Sir Albert Peiris Stadium, Nattandiya.

Opatha, Boteju steer umpires team to victoy

A superb 97-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Tony Opatha 50 (8x4) and Daya Boteju 50 (5x4) enabled the Association of Cricket Umpires of Sri Lanka team beat the 40 Club of England by four wickets in a friendly cricket match played at the S.S.C. grounds recently.
