INDIA v KENYA 1997-98 Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1999
At Bangalore, May 20 (day/night). India won by four wickets. Toss: India. Steve Tikolo, sharing half-century stands with Chudasama and Odumbe, gave the Kenyans a confident start. Before he holed out to deep square leg for a sparkling 77, Kenya were 152 for two. But from there the innings lost impetus. Gagan Khoda, in his second limited-overs international, led India's reply. His partnerships with Dravid and Jadeja took them to the brink of victory. Then Jadeja, in charge while Azharuddin attended the ICC captains' meeting at Lord's, departed to a fine catch in the covers by Tikolo. Three more wickets followed, in the space of 12 runs, but the wobble did not quite turn into a collapse. Man of the Match: G. K. Khoda. © Wisden CricInfo Ltd |
