†ZIMBABWE v PAKISTAN
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1999

At Harare Sports Club, Harare, March 28. Pakistan won by four wickets. Toss: Pakistan.

Campbell promoted himself to open with Grant Flower and they put on 72 in 14 overs, but Zimbabwe then slumped. All of the top order bar Andy Flower got starts, but none went on to play a long innings. Streak helped set a target but, once Aamir Sohail and Ijaz Ahmed steadied Pakistan's reply after a poor start, the outcome was a virtual formality against unimpressive bowling. Strang was not yet fully fit and played only as a batsmen. In the closing stages, Shahid Afridi smashed 30 off 20 balls
