Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) appointed three coaches -- Sheikh Dawlatuzzaman, Abdul Hadi Ratan and Sarwar Imran to assist West Indian coach Gordon Greenidge in the World Cup '99 camp.
The residential camp with 30 cricketers will begin at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP), Savar, from February 1. The preliminary camp will continue for four weeks after which a 19-man squad, including four reserves, will be announced on February 28.
According to BCB Joint Secretary Mahmud Ul Haque Manu, who is also secretary of Coaching and Planning Committee of the board, the three coaches will help Gordon upto February 28 after which the legendary Caribbean will take over the charge alone.
Meanwhile, national coach Jalal Ahmed Chowdhury, who had been assisting Gordon so far, has been given charge of the under-17 cricketers for the ICC training camp to be held in BKSP in April and May. Sixty under-17 cricketers, including 45 from Bangladesh, will take part in the camp scheduled to begin from the end of March.
