The Barbados Nation Barbados: Corey's chance
The Barbados Nation - 29 January 1999

It has been long in coming, but Corey Collymore gets the opportunity to make his first-class cricket debut today.

The gifted 21-year-old fast bowler has replaced an injured Hendy Bryan for Barbados' third round Busta Cup match against Guyana at Kensington Oval.

Collymore was in the Barbados 13-man squad for most of the 1996 season, but two serious back injuries have delayed his debut until now.

``I'm certain that Corey will adequately fill Hendy's boots. He's young, he still has to learn, but we are here to help him,'' Barbados captain Roland Holder said, yesterday.
