Discard Nimesh Perera 112

Sri Lanka 'A' pool discard Nimesh Perera hit a sparkling century (112) which contained 1 six and 17 fours and Chamara Liyanage stroked a fine 81 with 1 six and 5 fours to enable Sebastianites to make a mammoth 418 against Galle CC in the Premier tournament cricket match played at De Soysa Stadium Moratuwa yesterday.

Nimesh and Chamara together were associated in a superb 117 runs stand for the 4th wicket in just 104 balls. Sebastianites were 221 for 4 overnight and Galle CC in reply had scored 87 for 3 at close.

Sebastianites 418 (M. Mendis 40, N. Perera 112, C. Liyanage 81, G. Perera 4 for 91, C. Fernando 2 for 66, G. C. Gamage 2 for 95).

Galle CC 87 for 3 (R. Peiris 29).

Dharmasena 111

Sri Lanka discard Kumara Dharmasena returned to form for his club Bloomfield by scoring a good 111 in their 236 in their Premier Cricket tournament match against Moors at Reid Avenue yesterday where Bloomfield have already obtained first innings points. Moors were all out for 148 and Bloomfield in their second turn were 4 for no loss at close.

It was right-arm leggie Priyankara Wickremasinghe who was responsible for Moors debacle. He bowled superbly to finish with 8 for 47.

Bloomfield - 236 in 116.3 overs (Ramesh de Silva 26, Pubudu Dassanayake 13, Kumara Dharmasena 111, S. Abeynayake 39, Kesara Jayasinghe 4 for 41, Chaminda Hathurusinghe 2 for 48, Rangana Herath 2 for 27) and 4 for no loss at close.

Moors - 148 in 68.5 overs (Heshan Tillekeratne 42, Primal Salgado 39, Chandika Hathurusinghe not out 19, Priyankara Wickremasinghe 8 for 47).

SSC 1st innings points

Defending champions SSC have already obtained first innings points from CCC in their Premier Cricket Tournament match at Maitland Place yesterday. In reply to CC's 204, SSC made 240 and CCC in their second turn were 77 for 4 at close.

NCC clinch 1st innings points

Helped by two half centuries by Russel Arnold (52 with seven fours) and Naweed Nawaz (52 with nine fours) saw NCC obtain first innings points from Colts yesterday in their Premier Cricket Tournament match at Maitland Place. Colts made 215 in their first innings and NCC replied with 248 for 8 at close.

Colts 215 in 96.1 overs (Dulip Samaraweera 90, Sujith Janaka 70, Ruwan Kalpage 5 for 47).
