Nalanda pile up 250/6

Three good knocks by Sukitha Peiris (76), H.Gunawardena (43) and M.Porage (42) helped Nalanda declare their first innings at 250 for 6 on the opening day of their Lemonade Cup inter-school cricket tournament match against St. Peter's College which began at NCC grounds, Maitland Place yesterday.

In reply the Peterites were 77 for 3 with Niranjan Kumara claiming 2 for 14. The match will be continued at 9.45 a.m today.

D. S. Senanayake were well placed at 96 for 2 in reply to Dharmasoka MV's first innings total of 122 runs on the opening day of their Lemonade Cup inter school cricket tournament fixture which began at Wijerama Mawatha yesterday.

A deadly spell of bowling by left arm spinner D.A.Marage who had a match bag of 12 for 36 helped Raddoluwa MV trounce Carey College by ten wickets in their Lemonade Cup inter-school cricket tournament match played at Castle Street recently.
