Allott honouredThe Christchurch Press - 22 July 1999
New Zealand cricket fast bowler Geoff Allott has been named Christchurch High School Old Boys' Association Sportsman of the Year. Allott, currently in England with the Black Caps, shared the record wicket-taking record of 20 with Australian Shane Warne at the World Cup tournament.
The award is open to all old boys. New Zealand's women's 100m sprint champion Caro Hunt was the Sports Personality of the Year. She is a member of the Old Boys-United Athletics Club.
