The Canadian U-19 Nortel squad left for Barbados on Tuesday July 10th. They will participate on a full basis (for points) in 1999. The squad is sheduled to return to Canada on August 8th, 1999. Four members of the squad led by wicketkeeper batsman Ashish Bagai then travel to Bermuda from August 12-19 th on a reciprocal visit basis. Bermuda's U-17 team visited Canada (Toronto) in 1998.

A Bermuda senior National team is also scheduled to visit the Toronto area from August 5th - August 12th 1999. We thank President Elvin James of Bermuda and his Board for their hard fought efforts to re-vitalize the Canada -Bermuda series. We hope to build upon this platform to stage an Americas' Cup especially for ICC Associates from Argentina in the south to Canada in the North.
