The glorious certainties of cricket
The Daily News - 2 July 1999

People often talk about the glorious uncertainties of cricket but in actual fact it is the reverse. It all boils down to one word-Kumerology. All over the world all calculations are done using Nine Digits i.e. 10 becomes 1 (1+0), 11 becomes 2 (1 +1) and so on.

There are also Nine Ruling Planets by which man as well as countries are governed and it even applies to any sport including cricket.

The 1999 World Cup pivoted around this truth. The final was played on 20.6.1999. When you add up the digits 20+6+1+9+9+9 it equals the digit 9. Therefore the day was ``day 9''. Australia comes under the influence of the 3rd planet - Uranus and Pakistan under the 1st planet - Sun. the 9 th day (20.6.1999) favoured Pakistan. The score which they got was 132 which equals 6 (1+3+2). The 6 digit favours Australia influenced by the 3rd planet. (In the semi-finals South africa was unable to surpass Australia's score of 213 which is 6 (2+1+3) purely because it favoured the Aussies.

The digit 6 favoured Australia to such great heights that Australia's planetary number 3 appeared on 6 occasions and this is how it went:

The first pakistani wicket fell at 21 (2+1) = 3.

They were bowled out for 132 in 39 overs (3+9 = 12, 1+2 = 3.

Australia scored the required number of runs in 20.1 overs (20.1) = 21, 2=1 = 3.

The number of wickets which fell on that day were 12 i.e. (Pakistan 10 wkts Australia 2 wkts).

The bowler Shane Warne who comes under the influence of planet 3 took the highest number of wickets giving 33 runs (3+3) = 6.

And finally, out of 100 overs only 59.1 overs were bowled (5+9+1) = 6

Sri Lanka had every chance of retaining the World Cup if they reached the finals because the day (20.06.1999) was Day 9 just as they won the World Cup of 17.3.1996 which was also Day 9 (17+3+1+9+9+6) = 27, 2+7 = 9
