The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today announced that the England Board XI's three-day match against Sri Lanka 'A' played earlier this week at Oakham School in Leicestershire would not be accorded First Class status.

The closing match of Sri Lanka 'A's tour - a four-day fixture against MCC at Shenley from August 17-20 has been accorded First Class status. MCC will field a team with considerable First Class and international experience for this match.
