PCB asked to arrange Miandad's presence on July 8 The Dawn - 1 July 1999 Lahore, June 30: The judicial commission inquiring into cricket match fixing allegation since mid-1998 asked the Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday to make arrangements for former captain and coach Javed Miandad's visit to Pakistan to appear before it on July 8. Justice Malik Muhammad Qayyum, who constitutes the commission, also called bowler Ataur Rahman and Sajid Ali Shah and Muhammad Yunus, who were recently acquitted in a case involving kidnapping of captain Wasim Akram's father and brother and levelled serious charges against both on their release. The PCB was asked to bear Miandad's travel expenses, if necessary. The commission also directed the Ehtesab Bureau to furnish it copies of any material available with it about the cricketers' conduct in the recently-concluded World Cup ties.
