PCB Council meeting on 11th The Dawn - 6 July 1999
Lahore, July 5: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Council meeting has been called at a short notice here at the Gaddafi Stadium on July 11 (Monday) at 10:30 pm.
PCB secretary Waqar Ahmad announced here on Monday afternoon that the meeting would evaluate Pakistan team's performance in the seventh World Cup Cricket Tournament held in Britain. The second item on agenda of the meeting is allegations of betting, gambling and match-fixing. The house will also deliberate over cricketing relations between Pakistan and India in the wake of statements being issued by some cricket officials and former Test cricketers. The decisions of the meeting will be announced at a Press conference on Monday at 3:30 pm.
