Former Australian Test cricketer Trevor Chappell conducted a coaching clinic in fielding for coaches and cricketers from the districts of Kandy, Kegalle and Nuwara Eliya at the Asgiriya Stadium.

This fielding clinic which was a roaring success with a large number participating was organised by the Kandy Regional Board under the auspices of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka under its coaching and development program. The Director of Cricket Development Committee, Malcolm Perera, also participated and assisted at this clinic.
