Marian Cooray's funeral today

The funeral of the late Marian Cooray a former St. Sebastian's and Sebastianite SC cricketer and vice president of Sebastianites SC will take place today.

Marian Cooray who is also the secretary of the Umpires Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) and curator of the De Soysa Stadium passed away on Thursday, a day before his 50th birthday.

He captained St. Sebastian's College in 1968/69 and also led the Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic Club in the Division one and Division two tournaments.

Women k\o cricket

The all-island women's knockout cricket tournament conducted by the Colombo District Women's Cricket Association and sponsored by Slimline Limited will be held on July 18, 24 and 25 at Petersons SC grounds, Wellawatte and at Nomads SC grounds Viharamaha Devi Park.
