Nuwan Zoysa back in SL pool

The national selection committee yesterday named a squad of 30 players to prepare for the forthcoming one-day triangular and three-Test series due to commence from August 22.

The selectors retained 13 of the 15 players who took part in the recently concluded World Cup in England.

Chandika Hathurusingha and Ruwan Kalpage who did not play a single match during the World Cup are dropped. The selectors have recalled young left-arm fast bowler Nuwan Zoysa into the squad which also comprises all 16 players currently on tour in England with the Sri Lanka 'A' team.

According to a Cricket Board release the pool will be further expanded if required after consultation with the captain.

Australia and India due on August 20 to participate in the one-day triangular from August 22-31. It will be followed by a three-Test series between Sri Lanka and Australia from September 9 to October 3.

The Sri Lanka pool for one-day triangular and Australian Test series:
