Bahamas announces plans for UK tour

The Bahamas Cricket Association has announced the itinerary for its tour of the United Kingdom in July August.

Tues., July 27- Bahamas C.A. vs. Carmarthenshire C.C. at Pontybarin; Wed., July 28 - vs. South Wales Cricket Association; Thurs., July 29 vs. Gowerton CC at Gowerton; Fri., July 30 vs. South Wales Police C.C. at Bridgend; Wed., August 4 vs. Middleton CC; Thurs., Aug. 5 vs. Heywood CC; Fri., Aug. 6 vs. Rochdale CC; Tues., Aug. 10 vs. Sutton CC; Wed., Aug.11 (TBC). Vs. Malden Wanderers CC; Thurs., Aug. 12 vs. Guildford CC; Fri., Aug. 13/8/99 (open) - possible match.

St.Agnes C.C.'s season has started the right way with victory over T-Bird in the final of the Pepsi pre-season tournament, which was played over six weeks.

T- Bird batted first and scored 264 runs in 50 overs - Howard Roye and Jairam Mangra scoring 64 runs each. After a rain delay, the overs were reduced to 32 and St. Agnes scored 165 to win the tournament, with Andy Ford top-scoring for St.Agnes with 66.

The regular season begins this weekend with Police C.C. playing Paradise C.C. Police, captained by veteran player, Edmund Lewis, has the strongest team in the league but can be inconsistent. Police has batting from one to 11.

Paradise, while not as strong, plays as a team so is more successful.
