Australian Cricket Board Chief Executive Officer Malcolm Speed today announced that the umpires had been chosen for this weekend's Sheffield Shield final between the Queensland Bulls and the Western Warriors in Brisbane.

Mr Speed said Australia's two representatives on the International Cricket Council's umpiring panel - New South Welshman Darrell Hair and South Australia's Daryl Harper - would stand in the game, starting at the Gabba on Friday March 19.

Peter Parker, from Queensland, has been nominated as the Television Replay umpire while former Test batsman Peter Burge will be the match referee.

The final will be played over five days, with a reserve day on March 24 in place for bad weather, if required.
