Pepsi Cup: Pakistan meet India today Our Sports Reporter - 24 March 1999 KARACHI, March 23: Pakistan will face India tomorrow in their first clash of the tri-nation one-day series at Jaipur. Pakistan will be playing without the services of off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq who was suspended for one fixture by match referee Cammie Smith for disputing the umpire's verdict in Pakistan's opening tie against Sri Lanka on March 19 at Jamshedpur. The Pakistani team will have the advantage of morale boosting wins in the recently concluded Asian Test Championship against India and Sri Lanka. In fact Pakistan were the only team to have won a Test and that too against India at Calcutta. They later beat Sri Lanka at Lahore and finally at Dhaka to become the Asian Test Cricket champions. In their opening one-day tie Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by nine runs. Following is the schedule of the remaining one-day tri-angular series matches : Visakhapatnam: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka March 27 Pune: India vs Sri Lanka March 30 Mohali: Pakistan vs India April 1 Bangalore: Final April 4.
