Canterbury Country's final challenge The Christchurch Press - 12 March 1999
Arch-rival Nelson will be Canterbury Country's final opponent in the national districts challenge cup cricket series next week. Country successfully defended the cup, symbol of district association supremacy, last weekend against Dunedin City. It will host Nelson, the zone-three winner, at Dudley Park, Rangiora, from March 20 to 22. In past seasons before a change to the zonal structure the two teams were in the same region and often vied for the challenger's position.
