Dilshan, Yasalal send NCC on leather hunt

Premier championship table leaders NCC were sent on a leather hunt by Sebastianites second wicket pair T.M. Dilshan (95 with 1 five, 8 fours) and Ranga Yasalal (158 in 317 minutes, 232 balls, 11 fours, 5 sixes) on the opening day of their match at Maitland Place yesterday.

The pair added 247 runs which enabled Sebastianites, who were put into bat, to finish on an impressive 300 for 6 by the close.

Moors take lead

Moors SC were strongly placed on the first day of their Premier championship match against Singha SC having already obtained first innings points at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Having dismissed Singha for 112, Moors replied with 194 for 4 by the close, Sampath Perera making a top score of 71 with 10 fours.
