'Mac' dressed down for Windies win The Barbados Nation - 14 March 1999 Dressed for a Test Coach - cum comedian cum calypsonian - Mac Fingall at the Inter-School Athletics Championship on Friday. MAC AID: Everyone knows how much Mac Fingall loves West Indies cricket and supports the team. Even though the boys have been beaten up by Pakistan and South Africa, and are wobbling under the blows from Australia, Mac is still backing them 100 per cent. So confident is Mac that the Windies will bounce back that, according to YESS.FM's Market Vendor, he has pledged to wear a plaid jacket and plaid and floral pants until the Windies' next victory. With the Windies reeling at 37 for four chasing Australia's first innings total of 256 all out at the end of the first day of the second Test match at Sabina Park, Jamaica, yesterday, we wonder how long Mac will be able to show his support. ``I intend to wear this outfit until we win a game. I mean it will have to get washed in between, but when I step out of my house, you can be sure I will be in it,'' he told the Sunday Sun yesterday. His feeling is that when ``my boys'' come to Barbados and see him dressed like that, they would convene a meeting and to devise a means of securing that elusive Test victory. ``Cud dear, they won't want me to walk about like this all the time.''
