Ganguly-Dravid's feats break a few records
Atul Kahate - 26 May 1999

Saurav Ganguly's 183 and Rahul Dravid's 145 set a few new records: the former's was the highest for India in all LOI matches to date, the fourth highest for any batsman in LOI history, and the second best in World Cup history. This is shown in tables (A) through (C).

Dravid has become only the second batsman to score back-to-back hundreds in the World Cup after Mark Waugh. [Table (D)].

Ganguly's 7 sixes also equalled the Indian record set by: who else but Sachin Tendulkar. In fact, Sachin has hit 5 or more sixes in an innings on five occassions. This is shown in Table (E).
