Australia v Pakistan, Statistical highlights

Following are the statistical highlights of the
Australia and Pakistan Tests before the start of
current series:
- Overall - Tests 43; Australia 15 wins, 11 losses,
17 draws.
- In Australia - Tests 23, Australia 12 wins, four
losses, seven draws.
- In Brisbane - Tests three, Australia two wins,
one draw.
- Series - Played 16 series, Australia seven wins,
Pakistan five wins, four drawn.
- Biggest wins - Australia by an innings and 126
runs in Brisbane 1995-96. Pakistan by an innings
and 188 runs in Karachi 1988-89.
- Australia have never lost a home series against
Pakistan, but have drawn three home series, the
last in 1978-79.
- Former captain Allan Border has scored the most
runs for Australia against Pakistan, hitting
1,666 runs in 22 Tests at an average of 59.50.
- Javed Miandad top-scored for Pakistan with 1,797
in 25 Tests at 47.29.
- Dennis Lillee has taken the most wickets for
Australia against Pakistan, with 71 wickets in 17
Tests at 30.44. Imran Khan has most wickets for
Pakistan with 64 in 18 Tests at 24.97.
- Shane Warne destroyed the Pakistani batsmen
during the last Test in Brisbane in 1995-96,
claiming 11-67 - the best match figures by an
Australian against Pakistan.
- Pakistani batsmen have never scored a Test
hundred in Brisbane, with Zaheer Abbas' 80 in
1981-82 the best individual total at the Gabba.
- Australia's lowest total against Pakistan in
three Tests at the Gabba is 463 during the
1995-96 series. Pakistan's highest score at the
Gabba is 291 in 1981-82
