Club set up Malcolm Marshall Memorial Fund
Hampshire CCC Press Release - 12 November 1999
Tributes from all around the world have been received in the past few days at
the Hampshire office following the tragic passing of Malcolm Marshall. Hampshire
feel it would be very appropriate to hold a memorial service for Malcolm in the
spring and this will enable cricketers playing abroad this winter to attend. Details of the arrangements will be announced in due course.
Many friends, members and supporters have indicated that they would like to
contribute to a fund to provide a permanent memorial for Malcolm. Anyone wishing to contribute should send their donation to
Hampshire CCC Malcolm Marshall Memorial Fund, County Ground, Northlands Road,
Southampton, SO15 2UE.
The committee feels that memorial gates at the entrance to the new ground at
West End could well be a fitting tribute to a great servant to the club. Please
state that this article was read on The Internet.
