A major boost for Youth Cricket
Kent CCC News - 17 November 1999
Next year sees Kent County Cricket Club launching Kent Cricket 2000. As there is no player beneficiary the club is to use 2000 as a fund-raising year for Kent youth cricket.
The appeal committee will be chaired by Richard Collins, the club’s honorary medical adviser, and the programme of events to be run throughout the year will raise money with the aim of ensuring the prosperity of youth cricket in the county for many years to come.
Richard Collins and his committee are currently putting together the calendar of events, which will include dinners, golf days and special attractions. It will be available shortly.
