Unbeaten 148 by HR Jadhav 18 November 1999
Baroda: A keen tussle for the first innings lead highlighted the West Zone Ranji Trophy league match between Baroda and Gujarat here yesterday. Batting first Gujarat, with most of their top order batsmen striking form, scored 295. MS Kadri was the most successful bowler taking six wickets for 46 runs. Baroda in reply lost half the side for 89 but HR Jadhav who came in at the fall of the second wicket at 44 stood firm. With the help of the tail he turned the innings around. Finally with last man Z Khan he added 44 runs which was enough to give Baroda the lead. Jadhav batted six hours for his unbeaten 148 and he hit 20 fours and a six. Baroda were finally all out for 329. In their second innings Gujarat were 166 for three when stumps were drawn on the penultimate day of the four day match. © CricInfo
