Yorkshire Schools Cricket Association celebrated a very successful season at their annual Presentation Evening held at Elland on Friday night with Geoff Cope (Yorkshire and England) as the chief guest. The County team were winners of the ESCA Lord’s Taveners County Championship (U15) for the third time in six years beating Warwickshire and Somerset in the finals at Oundle School. Seven boys gained England Honours during the season, and Joe Sayers was Captain of the England side whilst County Captain Andrew Gale recorded three unbeaten centuries. Seven of the team were under 14 and will therefore be eligible for next year.
