First Grade

Fairfield Liverpool V. Parramatta

Week 1

All Fairfield Liverpool Grade games were washed out with only Fourth and Fifth Grades starting. Fourth grade won the toss and bated and were 2 for 13 when rain stopped play at Fairfield Oval. Fairfield Liverpool Fifth Grade are in a good position after Parramatta won the toss and batted at Coleman Oval. Parramatta were 3 for 28 when rain stopped play with opening bowlers Clint I ndrele taking 2 for 15 and David Lewis 1 for 11.

Next week's play will depend on the outcomes of other matches in the different grades. All games will start early if weather permits.

Week 2

Fairfield Liverpool First Grade had Parramatta in trouble at 6 for 79 when rain stopped play. Parramatta lost their first wicket with the score on 47 before losing their next 5 wickets for only 22 runs. Spin bowler Anthony Clark was the best of the bowlers taking 3 for 27 with John Boulous 2 for 16.

Second Grade

Second Grade won the toss and put Parramatta into bat. When rain stopped play Parramatta were 4 for 94 with Jason Coleman 2 for 16 and Paul Cotter 1 for 21 were the best of the bowlers.

Third Grade

Parramatta were also batting in Third grade and were e for 115 when play was stopped. Captain Richard Gerdes had 1 for 0, Mick Collins 1 for 27 and Grant Harrison 1 for 30 were the wicket takers.

Fourth Grade

Fourth Grade batted and were 7 for 90 when rain stopped play.

Fifth Grade

Fifth Grade had Parramatta 5 for 58 early on, but they recovered to be 7 for 201 when rain stopped play. The best of the bowlers was Clint Indrele with 3 for 46 and David Lewis 2 for 32 with captain Jason Gynn 2 for 37.

Next Saturday all Grades play Campbelltown with First Grade at Raby No.1 and Second Grade at Rosedale. Third Grade are at Raby No.2 with Fourth Grade at Fairfield and Fifth at Raby No.3. Next Sunday 7th November First Grade play round 4 of the limited overs competition at Caringbah Oval.
