Gilchrist and Langer depart from Hobart Western Australia Cricket Association - 15 November 1999
Western Warriors Test representatives Adam Gilchrist and Justin Langer depart for Hobart tomorrow in preparation for Australia's clash with Pakistan in the second Test, beginning at Bellerive Oval on Thursday. Gilchrist, who celebrated his 28th birthday yesterday, flies to Hobart after smashing 115 in the Western Warriors Mercantile Mutual Cup win over Queensland at the Gabba on Friday night. Langer returned from Brisbane on Saturday afternoon and headed straight to Abbett Park for Scarborough's SmokeFree WA League clash with Willetton. Batting at number seven due to his late arrival, Langer hit an unbeaten half-century in the first innings and followed up with the same score at number three in yesterday's second innings. © 1999 Western Australia Cricket Association
