Lahore, Oct 15: The Pakistan cricket team will continue its current tour and proceed to Australia from Sharjah as planned. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ad hoc committee member Javed Zaman Khan, who is discharging all duties in absence of its chairman Mujib-ur-Rahman now in detention, had a telephonic conversation with the team manager Yawar Saeed in Sharjah on Friday and asked him to continue with the tour as planned. The Pakistan team is scheduled to leave for Australia from Sharjah on October 24.

While replying to a question, Javed Zaman Khan said that Col (retd.) Naushad Ali and his selection committee had been authorised to pick and announce the Pakistan team for the tour of Australia in Sharjah.

He hoped the team would be announced during last stages of the Sharjah Cup or on the last day of the tournament.
