Parminder Singh's century helps UP take lead

Udaipur: A fine unbeaten century by middle order batsman Parminder
Singh and his 135 runs partnership with captain M Tripathi helped UP
to take a 114 runs crucial lead on 2nd day at Field club ground here.
Earlier Rajasthan were all out 179 runs in their 1st innings in their
central zone Cooch Behar trophy match on Monday.
Resuming at 22 for 1, UP were in danger after losing 4 more wickets in
quick succession. But Parminder (118 n.o) and M Tripathi (64) added
135 runs for the 6th wicket in 47.1 overs. M Tripathi's 50 came in 144
minutes off 131 balls with 7 fours and a six. Parminder then added 72
runs (unbroken) for the unfinished 7th wicket partnership wicketkeeper
batsman Vinay Sharma is batting with 32 runs.
For Rajasthan Anup Dave and Surendra Singh took 2 wickets each. While
Kishan Chaudhary and Gourav Gour took 1 wicket each.
