Back-to-back start 28 October 1999
Barbados’ cricketers will leave at 9:10 a.m. tomorrow for their commitments in the Red Stripe Bowl regional One-Day competition. Philo Wallace’s men will oppose hosts Leeward Islands at the Antigua Recreational Ground (ARG) on Friday in Zone B, which will be staged in Anguilla and Antigua. Barbados will now have back-to-back matches in Antigua as they will meet Canada on Saturday. The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) yesterday confirmed the new dates of matches in the zone, which was to start today but was postponed because the host grounds were under water. Hurricane José had drenched the island last week. Also on Saturday, the Leewards will oppose Trinidad and Tobago at the Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla. The three remaining fixtures in Zone B will all be played in Anguilla on consecutive days with Barbados taking on Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday, Canada against Trinidad and Tobago on November 1, and the Leewards opposing Canada on November 2. With the change, Trinidad and Tobago, who will not be in action on the first two days, will now play their three matches at the Ronald Webster Park on successive days. Barbados team: Philo Wallace (captain), Sherwin Campbell, Adrian Griffith, Floyd Reifer, Roland Holder, Ryan Hinds, Courtney Browne, Winston Reid, Antonio Mayers, Horace Waldron, Ryan Hurley, Hendy Bryan, Pedro Collins, Hattian Graham; manager: Tony Howard; coach: William Bourne.
