Brian Ford, Hampshire Chairman told the packed County Club, during the Alan Mullally signing, that the club had received an acknowledgement from the Australian Cricket Board, and that they will receive their decision as to allowing Shane Warne to play for Hampshire next season, very soon.

Mr.Ford stated that he did not "envisage any problems over the signing".
