- It was the 46th 'no result' match in ODI history-18th
involving India and 7th involving WestIndies.India has
played in most 'no result' matches.However it was the
first such instance between these two countries.The
accompanying table gives details of all 'no result'
matches in ODI history:

- It was the sixth 'no result' match under Tendulkar's
captaincy.Only Mohammad Azharuddin has captained in more (8),
while SriLanka's Arjuna Ranatunga has also captained his side in
six no result matches.
- Tendulkar,on 5,completed 2000 runs in matches in which
he has captained India.He was playing his 59th match and
56th innings as captain.He,thus became second Indian after
Mohammad Azharuddin (5239 runs in 174 matches) and 10th
batsman in the world to do so.Tendulkar's batting average
(39.13) is second only to fellow Indian Mohammad Azharud-
din (39.39) among the captains who have scored more than
2000 runs in a career.
- Tendulkar has now scored 843 runs against WestIndies in
25 matches.Now only Mohammad Azharuddin has scored more
runs for India against WestIndies - 998 in 43 matches.
- Reon King (3-25) achieved his best figures in ODIs.His
previous best was 3 for 30 against NewZealand at Dublin
on 21 May 1999.Incidentally King has now taken 32 wickets
in just 19 matches.
