The Dawn - 9 September 1999

Hyderabad, Sept 8: Hearing in contempt of court application, filed by Hyderabad Division Cricket Association (HDCA) was adjourned to a date in office, after the division bench of the court asked HDCA's lawyer to cite the respondents by name in the contempt of court application.

Lawyer Allah Bachayo Soomro, appearing on behalf of HDCA, was directed by the court that he had only mentioned word 'respondents' in the application therefore he should amend the application and cite respondents by name. Soomro had also filed an affidavit of HDCA's acting president along with the contempt of court application.

The court also asked the lawyer to satisfy it whether the petition, seeking permanent injunctions was maintainable upon which the lawyer informed the court that petition had already been admitted for regular hearing and interim injunctions had also been granted on August 25 by the court.

On Tuesday no lawyer represented PCB Ad Hoc Committee. Now the HDCA's Counsel would file his amended version of application in a few days before the court, citing Mujeebur Rehman, the Chairman PCB Ad Hoc Committee and member Javed Zaman, by name.
