Islamabad, Sept 12: The PCB probe committee formed to investigate the incident involving Test batsman Mohammad Wasim is awaiting report from Deputy Commissioner Lahore before finalising its own decision.

This was stated by head of the probe committee Javed Zaman while talking to Dawn from Lahore. He maintained that the DC Lahore had been asked to probe the case following the incident and now he has been requested to finalise the report.

It was learnt that Mohammad Wasim met the DC today and informed him that the charges framed against him were false.

Hafiz Manzoor, co-op PCB member, and Col (R) Noushad Ali, technical advisor PCB, are the other two members ofthe committee.
