CricInfo traffic hits new heights, and passes one billion
CricInfo Press Release - 4 February 2000

For immediate release

CricInfo, www.cricket.org, the global cricket website, delivered 87,883,956 page impressions for the period 1st - 31st January 2000. This record figure represents year-on-year growth of 118%, and a 13% increase on the December 1999 figure. The site passed the landmark 1,000,000,000 total page impressions during December 1999.

These figures come at a time when CricInfo is supplementing its management team, with a number of key significant commercial, marketing and operational appointments now made. Former Compaq Internet Solutions Architect Hillary Corney joins as Chief Technical Officer following a period at Computer Science Corporation, and Andrew Hall, previously Client Services Manager at the Press Association, joins as Marketing Manager.

Simon King, CEO of CricInfo Ltd, said "This figure is particularly impressive in the light of high-profile advertising campaigns from general sports sites. It is a testament to the loyalty of our users, and to the unique content that the site offers. Our new appointments are of the highest-calibre, and should ensure that we build rapidly on this success."
