NSW women's league squad, City-Country teams announced

The NSWIS Blues team to play the Southern Scorpions in the opening round of the Women's National Cricket League next weekend in Adelaide was announced on Sunday evening.

Two players are missing from the side which won last year's National League final against the Western Fury - Sally Griffiths, who has retired, and Terri McGregor, who is unavailable.

Sharon Milanta and Amanda Owens are the new faces in a squad which includes seven players who are in Australia's preliminary 25-person World Cup squad - Clark, Keightley, Winch, Goszko, Coleman, Hayes and Sthalekar.

The squad, to play South Australia at Adelaide Oval No.2 on Saturday and Sunday 14 and 15 October, is: Belinda Clark (capt), Julie Hayes (vc), Bronwyn Calver, Leonie Coleman, Michelle Goszko, Lisa Keightley, Emma Liddell, Sharon Milanta, Debbie Nelson, Amanda Owens, Lisa Sthalekar, Martha Winch.

CricInfo will be providing live scores of both Women's National League games on the weekend.

Teams for the City Origin versus Country Origin game on November 5 have been named. They are:

City Origin: Julie Hayes (c), Terri McGregor (vc), Karina Bird, Bronwyn Calver, Shannon Cunneen, Michelle Goszko, Emma Liddell, Sharon Milanta, Debbie Nelson, Tiffany O'Neill, Lisa Sthalekar, Martha Winch.

Country Origin: Belinda Clark (c), Leonie Coleman (vc), Sarah Andrews, Briony Daws, Nerissa Dobell, Lisa Keightley, Clare McCarthy, Amanda Owens, Lauren Pedron, Sally Pratt, Tamara Roach, Jenny Wallace.

The venue for the City-Country game is yet to be finalised.
